‘Agni Pariksha ke liye…’: Raghav Chadha after Arvind Kejriwal decides to resign

Raghav Chadha, the AAP MP, on Sunday said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is ready to face the final trial, reported ANI. He further noted that it depends upon Delhi citizens’ decision to determine his honesty.
The AAP leader in Hindi said “Mukhyamantri ji Agni Pariksha se guzarne ke liye taiyyar hai’.” He added, “Now it’s in the hands of the people of Delhi to decide if he is honest or not. Arvind Kejriwal had asked for votes in the name of work in 2020 and said that if I have worked then vote for me, if I have not worked then do not vote for me,” reported ANI.
Raghav Chadha asserted that the people of Delhi will declare the Chief Minister is ‘honest’ by voting for AAP and in the upcoming 2025 Delhi elections scheduled in February.
These remarks come after Arvind Kejriwal said, “I am going to resign from CM post after 2 days” after being released from Tihar jail on bail. Delhi CM vowed to return only after people “give him a certificate of honesty.”
During his first address following his release, the Chief Minister demanded elections in November along with Maharashtra. He said that a meeting of the AAP legislature party will be held in a a couple of days and a new AAP leader will take over as Delhi CM. The AAP chief said, “I will ask people whether I am honest and till they respond, I won’t sit on Chief Minister’s chair. I will become chief minister, Sisodia deputy CM only when people say we are honest.
Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot, agreeing with Delhi CM’s comments, pointed out that Arvind Kejriwal has earned people’s love, respect and blessings. He further informed that No talks of dissolving the Assembly have been done so far.”
AAP MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer called Delhi CM an ‘honest person’ while underscoring Chief Minister’s decision to quit the CM chair until the people give their verdict. He said, “Only Arvind Kejriwal can leave the CM chair after coming out of jail.”
